Fifty Years. All Fifty States. One Standard: Always Be Fair.
Blue Ribbon Estate Buyers is a family business. For more than fifty years we have traveled the country to meet people in their own communities, look at their jewelry with them, and make a fair offer — with no obligation to sell.
How it started.
Blue Ribbon Estate Buyers was founded in 1973 with a simple but unusual idea: instead of waiting for customers to come to us, we would go to them.
At a time when selling jewelry meant walking into a shop and hoping the owner was honest, we believed Americans deserved better — a buyer they could meet in their own community, who would take the time to explain every appraisal and make a fair offer without pressure.
City by City. State by State.
So we started traveling. We set up at local hotels and event venues and invited residents to bring whatever they had. Word spread. People came back. They sent their friends, siblings and neighbors.
50+ Years Later
Today, Blue Ribbon Estate Buyers is one of the most experienced traveling jewelry buyers in the United States. Our team has appraised hundreds of thousands of pieces from coast to coast — from single gold rings to entire multi-generation estate collections.

The standards we've never compromised.
Most buyers ask you to ship your valuables or visit their store. We do things differently. We travel to your city and meet you at a comfortable local venue. No shipping, no unfamiliar addresses, and no strangers handling your jewelry.
Many buyers pay only for scrap value. We look beyond the metal, using our network of collectors and resellers to find new homes for valuable pieces — so you receive more of their true worth.
Blue Ribbon Estate Buyers is fully licensed, bonded, and insured. We are proud members of the Jeweler's Vigilance Committee and have maintained an A+ BBB accreditation since opening.
Our offer is always yours to accept, decline, or consider. Every offer is put in writing so you can compare it, discuss it with family, or get a second opinion. After 50 years, we know that trust comes first.

What our customers say.
Thousands of families across the country have sold with Blue Ribbon — many of them share their experience in their own words on Google and on our Customer Stories page.
Columbus, Ohio
“I had a box of my mother’s jewelry I’d been carrying around for years, not knowing what to do with it. When I heard Blue Ribbon was coming to our area, I finally brought it in. They were so patient and kind. They explained every piece, told me which ones had real collector value, and made me an offer I felt great about. I cried a little — in a good way. Fifty years of good memories, and now a check I can actually use.”
Tampa, Florida
“I drove 45 minutes to their hotel event and I would have driven twice as far. They knew exactly what my diamond ring was — they identified the cut, the era, the quality — and offered me three times what the local pawnshop had quoted me. Completely transparent, no pressure, and I walked out the door with a check.”
Phoenix, Arizona
“My father collected coins his whole life. I had no idea what any of them were worth. The specialist sat with me for almost an hour, showed me what each coin was, why some were more valuable than others, and made me feel educated, not taken advantage of. This is how every business should operate.”
Riverdale, New York
“I was nervous about the whole process — I’d never sold jewelry before and wasn’t sure who to trust. A friend recommended Blue Ribbon’s office on 48th Street. I brought my daughter with me just in case. We both left completely impressed. They were honest, thorough, and gave me a price I was genuinely happy with. No games, no pressure. I’ll tell everyone I know.”
Park Slope, Brooklyn
“I had an Art Deco brooch I’d inherited and everyone told me it was probably worth nothing. The specialist at Blue Ribbon identified it as a signed piece from the 1930s and offered me far more than I expected. They could have easily just melted it and I never would have known. That honesty is everything.”
